Bálsamo Bento

Located in one of the entrances to Serra da Canastra National Park in Brazil, lies the little town of Sao Joao Batista with its only church built in 1820. Throughout the years, its main door was infested by termites. While undergoing renovation, Roberto Lazaro was able to preserve parts of the portal that hadn't been damaged and later donated this piece to me. This is an incredibly great smelling wood with an orange-brownish tone, flawless texture and lots of story to tell.
